When shopping for massage tables your are no doubt going to ask yourself why there is such a difference in price between massage tables. As with everything in life a higher priced item will be of higher quality. Everything from the quality of wood and aluminium used to the quality of the foam and vinyl is far superior on the higher priced tables.
When choosing your massage table, the first question you need to ask is
Do I need a back rest?
This will obviously depend on what treatments you provide. Due to the back rest support mechanism massage tables with back rests are normally about 2-3 Kg's heavier so if you don't require this feature during your treatments then it is better to stick with a flat massage table as it will be lighter to carry.
The second question is
Do I need a lightweight massage table? Aluminium massage tables are obviously lighter. There are also different grades of aluminium massage table with those over £200 being of exceptional quality and strength.
Lighter couches made of aluminium are generally a little more expensive but you will be glad in the long run if you are carrying a heavy table around with you!
