Cleaning Guide for Vitrectomy Equipment

We ensure all our Vitrectomy Recovery Equipment is fully sanitised before being dispatched to our customers and we thank you in advance for maintaining a high level of hygiene with the equipment during your rental period, as well as ensuring they are fully sanitised before being returned to our warehouse for inspection.

All the equipment is designed with a strong PU or PVC Leather material. This material is soft to the touch but sturdy against spills and dirt. It is waterproof and oil & stain resistant.

We ask when you are cleaning/wiping down the equipment, not to use cleaners with many chemicals or alcohol. The reason being is that extensive contact with these chemicals can cause damage the upholstery causing flaking or peeling to occur. We ask instead that you use a gentle cleaner or wipe with little to no chemicals or alcohol, or some warm mild soapy water which can be pat-dried afterwards.

For our two way mirror; we recommend keeping a clean, dry dusting cloth at hand to regularly wipe down the mirror for best use. Please take care when handling the mirror, they are quite delicate! Any broken mirrors will need to paid for in full by the customer (thankfully this has not happened before in the past!)

IMPORTANT:  SMOKING IS NOT PERMITTED WHEN USING OUR RENTAL EQUIPMENT. ANY SMOKING MUST BE DONE AWAY FROM THE EQUIPMENT. THIS IS TO ACCOMMODATE NON-SMOKERS WHO MAY BE USING THE EQUIPMENT FOR THEIR OWN RECOVERY PERIOD AFTER YOU. ALL EQUIPMENT IS INSPECTED UPON RETURN TO OUR WAREHOUSE AND ANY EQUIPMENT THAT IS EVIDENT HAS BEEN AROUND SMOKING WILL BE SUBJECT TO A CLEANING FEE TO BE PAID BY THE CUSTOMER.

As mentioned above, we ensure all equipment is fully sanitised before sending it out to a new customer. However, for your own peace of mind you are welcome to purchase some disposable covers that you can use with the equipment at your own convenience.
