Play a valued and key role with a growing online e-commerce retailer. 

We’re currently a 5 person team with some team members based in Barcelona and others working remotely. The business mainly serves the health and wellness space. We manufacture and retail a large range of physical products. We have one of the best reputations in the industry for both quality and customer service alongside our excellent social media and community management. The business has been running for over 18 years, and it’s time for us to expand in our own market and into other markets - so we need extra hands, stat! 

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

E-commerce businesses require a huge mix of skills and activities. The business is looking for a highly motivated E-commerce Specialist. The role is already established so with some existing experience you can jump right in. But even if your experience doesn't quite match up, if you're the right person with the right attitude and a keen interest in all things e-commerce we can show you the ropes and develop your experiences further on the job.

The successful candidate will be a proactive, creative and hardworking individual who’s passionate about e-commerce. They will be an excellent communicator with the ability to build solid relationships both internally and externally, as well as having strong negotiation and organisational skills. This candidate will be analytical and passionate about data.

HERE'S WHAT THE ROLE WILL LOOK LIKE: 

  • E-commerce Strategy Development: Develop and implement a comprehensive e-commerce strategy that aligns with the company's goals and objectives.
  • Manage the execution of all product promotional activity on the company’s website, optimising basket value
  • Ensure product content for all new product launches is accurate.
  • Creating, updating and maintaining shopify product pages, amazon listings website images and promotional images. · 
  • Provide monthly performance reports on the website operations, including forecast targets, website conversion rate optimisation and revenue
  • Research key competitors websites to ensure the company's website is best in class for content and activity planning
  • Fulfil the content creation requirements of our business from photos to graphics and UGC
  • Website Management: Oversee the maintenance, functionality, and user experience of the e-commerce website, ensuring it is user-friendly, responsive, and optimised for search engines (SEO).
  • Marketing and Promotion: Plan and execute online marketing campaigns, including email marketing, social media advertising, and pay-per-click advertising, to drive traffic and conversions. Monitor campaign performance and suggest improvements based on your findings.
  • Analytics and Reporting: Utilise data analytics tools to track website and sales performance. Provide regular reports and insights to inform decision-making. Monitoring key site metrics including GP, Conversion Rate, Bounce Rate, AOV, Exit Rates, Traffic (new and returning) etc.
  • Work closely with other team members such as sales, customer services, marketing, and graphics to ensure a seamless customer experience and alignment with overall business goals.
  • Identifying new and innovative ways to drive traffic.
  • Monitoring conversion of key landing pages to improve where necessary.
  • An understanding of how influencers can play a key role in building brand awareness, affinity, content creation and driving commercial value for brands.
  • Becoming familiar with our industry, it's contacts, who's who and nurturing and developing the relationships we have with important industry figures
  • Stock forecasting and re-ordering from suppliers.

It's not required for you to have experience in all of these areas. If you do - that's great (especially if it's UK-based). But what we want most is someone who is switched on and ready to learn and apply. 

WHAT ARE THE DETAILS?

For the first few months, we'd prefer you to work one on one in a co-working space in Barcelona with some of our team. Doing some hands-on work together to begin with means you can transition to working at home or from a co-working space on your own at a later stage or stay put in our Barcelona office with us! Great for those wanting to work from home!

Our team works Barcelona hours 9.30am-6.30pm. The role requires 4 hours per day from you but depending on your other commitments you can choose what 4 hours of the day you can work.

Although the hours are part-time, this is a long term role. You’re not just looking for a job; you’re looking to build or expand your social media and marketing skillset and be a key member of a growing business. This is for someone who wants to learn all the gritty details of making an online business thrive from the marketing side. You’ll be an integral part of our growing company, so we’re looking for a minimum 12 months commitment. BUT, we want this relationship to be so successful you will be happy to stick around much longer than that.

Earnings will be above average.  You'll work between 4-6 hours per day. The shift time varies (depending on your availability). Earnings will be circa dependent on hours worked and your existing experience and will be discussed with applicants upon a successful offer . After initial one to one training, this is a remote working contract for a company based outside Spain. Great for working from home or you're very welcome to continue working with us at our co-work space!

Start date is as soon as you are ready and is open to negotiation.

  • You check your social media and chat online with friends during work hours. This role requires focus and commitment.

  • We need your best energy and focus.
  • A ‘get shit done’ attitude. You’re reliable, punctual and nothing stops you knocking stuff off your list. You’re comfortable asking questions, making suggestions, and learning from your mistakes.
  • You’re good in a team. You’re good at giving AND receiving feedback.
  • You have a native level of English. You are well versed in the English language and its quirks.
  • You can think on your feet and adapt quickly to new situations. On the days where everything is going wrong, you’re not phased.
  • Be organized and detail oriented.
  • Know your way around the Internet – online research, etc.
  • Willingness to do more than the bare minimum on any task. If something is worth doing, it's worth overdoing!
  • You are a self-starter and a problem solver.  You won’t be micromanaged.
  • To be able to adapt quickly to whatever situation you may find yourself in.
